First of all, I'm very jealous of the new equipment, Smut. It will be a true shame when Burkie steps on your rod and the end with your new reel attached plunges to the depths of Lac Seul.
I'm very happy to hear that many of you are taking the Big Fish Contest seriously! We're all aware that it really hasn't been a "contest" for several years, so it might do Big Fish good to have a little pressure on him this year. Since I think it will take a true monster to win the contest this year (50" plus), I've decided to add a key piece of equipment to my arsenal. No, it's not a new rod, reel, or fancy sparkling lure. A picture speaks a thousand words, so all I can say to my boat partners is to START PRACTICING NOW!
